When I bought it the listed price was about 1/5 the alleged MSRP (it wasn't a special discount or "promotional offer", just a low listed price.) At that price it was a steal. I'd consider as much as $30 reasonable, though not a great bargain; but full price/MSRP would be ridiculous. I will say it's sturdier than most of the similarly priced lamps I've seen in stores like Staples and Home Depot and despite what seems like a small base, it's not at all wobbly, presumably because the reflector is plastic, so the center of balance is fairly low. It's fairly stylish in a minimalist way, but not "executive desk" material. I've always liked the old-fashioned green-shaded banker's lamps, but this is a nice update on that general design. Unlike so many LED lamps, the light's color is around 3000K, so not a blue-ish, harsh "bright white."I do have two complaints, one minor, the other less so. The more minor issue is that the shade can't be tilted "down" further than parallel with the surface the lamp sits on. A few more degrees down/back would've been nice to avoid the occasional bit of glare in the eyes, but the light source is diffuse enough for it not to be a major problem. The bigger issue is that the light source can't be replaced (it's called a "bulb" in the product description on the Amazon product page, but much more appropriately, it's called the "LED module" on the instruction sheet included with the lamp.) LEDs are typically long-lived, so it's not that I'm concerned about it failing in the reasonably foreseeable future, but (a) it seems like a major waste of materials to have to throw away the entire lamp when the LED does eventually give out (even if it lasts 5+ years) and (b) at anything above a heavily discounted price, the lamp is simply too expensive to have a non-replaceable bulb. At the very least, the product description should be clear that it can't be replaced. As it is, it says "[o]ne 3.6-watt LED bulb [is] included", which certainly seems to imply that it can in fact be replaced. At the price I paid, it's irrelevant, but since it has only a 1-year warranty, at $30 or more, it'd be a much bigger deal..
