I wasn't expecting much due to the low price, so far I am surprised and very pleased. They charge quickly, the charge lasts a long time, they have three brightness levels with a simple tap of the touch sensitive button on top, and they work as advertised which unfortunately you can't always count on these days. They shine the light down on the table surface and not in your eyes. We use them outside on our deck for late evening dinners and in the dining room as well to light up the table surface. They scatter light well 360 degrees with a nice blanket of light without dark spots where you can see what you're eating while still creating a nice mood with lower overhead and ambient light.I waited to write a review on these because one of them had a partial charge right out of the box, and the other one had no charge whatsoever. So I wanted to experiment with them. The first thing I did was to plug them both in to charge, and while the one that had a partial charge was completely recharged (and the red light turned off), in about 4 hours, the one that arrived without an initial charge took over 10 hours to completely charge. After they were completely charged, I turned both of them on (the lowest setting) to see if one lasted longer than the other. They were both on for 25 hours, and still going. But once again, when I plugged them in to charge again, the one with the partial charge on arrival took a few hours to re-charge, while the one that arrived with no charge, took several hours longer to fully charge.Bottom line, I'm not sure why one worked out of the box and charged (and continues to charge) much faster, while the other one is not charging as quickly. The next experiment might be to put them both on a higher brightness setting and see if they both last 24 hours or more.I obviously don't need them to last 24 hours, probably only a few hours at night, but I'd like to know if one of them has a defective battery so I can return it for a replacement.I like the fact that it's USB powered. With several power banks in the house, of various capacity, I don't have to worry about running out of energy for the lamp. The 2nd thing I really like is that it's not a glaring light that hurts your eyes.-- On high setting, you really can read a book with this lamp.-- On low-medium setting, it'll light up a dining table or small bathroom.-- On medium-high, it'll light up a bedroom or kitchen work area.To me, it looks like an old fashioned candle stick with a black shade. A pair would look very nice on a piano or dining table. The only downside is that the power switch is at the top of the shade and is very sensitive. If you plan to store it, be careful.Love the design. Very solid feeling. Easy to use. 3 brightness settings are great. I have them on my dining table which doesn't get good lighting and it compliments the space very well. Would be great if there was a light temperature setting to make it a little softer but it works as advertised!I first saw this lamp in a five-star restaurant in the Palm Beach area where the owner shared how many compliments he had received and how much more elegant and easy they were than candles. I absolutely LOVE these! After quickly charging them (usb cord included) I can carry this lamp wherever I need it. There are multiple levels of brightness for ambiance, reading etc. Great for a children’s room, table centerpieces, lighting awkward dark corners….Their uses are endless. Very well made, strong and durable; the only problem is choosing which of the many colors you want to own first. I am excited to gift these at Christmas and personalize them to match the receiver’s ’ decor. You will not be disappointed! It has three brightness levels and the light is a warm yellow, not that awful bright white (daylight) that casts the ambiance of a funeral home basement. They are substantial enough that you don’t worry about them blowing over in a breeze…the battery life is fine. They are also around $35The only downside (and it is a dumb one), is that the power jack is not a standard USB micro, mini or C. The cord plugs into any regular USB charger, but the part that plugs into the lamp isn’t standard. I recommend not losing the cord.I don't think they are weatherproof, so I recommend bringing them inside between uses. If you want something casual to perk up your evenings, I can recommend these. I own one…just ordered a second.Great little lamp! Bought one to light up my little entryway table. I find I use it all the time. In the morning to help me find my coffee and in the evening for TV watching. I'd say I use it around 4 hours a day and charge it maybe once a week.I like how the light can be charged and no batteries needed. We use the lights for the outside tables and came in good use for the hurricane when we lost power.Extremely happy with this purchase. After seeing something similar in a restaurant, I knew these would be perfect for the dining table, especially outdoors. Candles are nice, but not always practical, nor do they always provide enough light. These have three light levels. Button on top only needs a very light tap to turn on/off, adjust light levels. Light shines from the bottom only and gives a lovely effect. The stem and bottom is heavy enough that it won’t tip over easily. Easy and quick to charge with enclosed cord (shows a red glow when charging which shuts off when ready). I was going to buy the style which has a round flat disc top. Although that design is more sleek, I didn’t think it was worth almost twice the price. Picture was taken during daylight hours. Much brighter when it’s dark.It does exactly what it says - with simple elegance! Highly recommended. It charges from the top, which is a little awkward - the USB connector might have been better placed on the base. It WILL operate when on charge, though - it's just the cable running to the TOP that's a bit strange. The unit (when turned off) glows a dim 'red' colour to indicate charging is taking place.Great for under cover outdoors or inside. The Dian light is nice at 3 different levels of brightness. Wished they lasted a little longer between charges. The other colours selling at a higher price I feel are too expensive. This colour works for me and so does the price. This light arrived just before a hurricane when we lost power for a week. It stayed charged well and I had it on for a few hours a night. I only had to recharge it once during the power outage. I ordered it for ambience beside my tub but I was extremely happy it arrived when it did and I used it for a lot more than ambience. I will probably order another one.Good little light. Can’t leave it outside - the wind will knock it down but nice look and convenient for table illumination
