This lamp is perfect for what I wanted. It does not make a statement but blends with the room it is in. I was not looking for something that would draw attention. The quality is excellent. Well packaged and easy to assemble. Several said the base was not centered. Neither was mine. All you have to do is move it to center it, and when assembled, it is perfect and will not move. The base is not metal, it is painted, but that does not detract from the lamp. Extremely happy with this purchase.
